Sand is a soft light beige neutral toned fabric. This styling cloth is made of 100% silk chiffon and plant dyed using chestnuts. Silk chiffon has a lovely drape and a translucent look. Use this styling cloth to adorn an elegant table or as a styling backdrop for photos - there are so many uses! We offer both 6 yard and 3 yard lengths. 3 yards suits a sweetheart table and 6 yards is great for a farm table or longer dining table.

about the styling cloths

Styling cloths are lightweight and have a beautiful drape for hanging off the side of a table. Pieces measure about ~27" wide when pressed flat.

the process

Plant dyes create deep and complex shades that seem to subtly change with the light. Although the same recipe is used for each batch, no two pieces will be identical in color. Each step in the process of crafting this table runner is done intentionally by hand in our Detroit studio. The result is an organic color and lightly textured runner that adds romantic and delicate beauty to any tablescape.

styling cloth care

All styling cloths are steamed and gently folded into a bundle before sending to you. Should the styling cloths become wrinkled, feel free to use a steamer or low heat iron to gently press. Styling cloths can be handwashed using a pH neutral soap in tepid water. We recommend using Dr. Bronner's castile soap and hanging to dry. Should any threads come loose simply clip carefully to remove.

sustainably crafted

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water wastage and recycle greywater for plant watering. We work with restaurants to collect food waste to create beautiful dyes from onion skins and avocado pits, as well as with florists to utilize leftover flowers from events. All plant material is composted after dyeing. Rosemarine Textiles is committed to sustainable and ethical sourcing of all fabrics, dye materials and packaging. All packaging can be reused or recycled. Please feel free to contact us for any questions regarding our sustainability policies.
