A mottled indigo wool gauze scarf with raw edges at the hem. The color effect appears very dreamy and cloud-like. This scarf is made with 100% wool gauze and plant dyed using natural indigo. Wear it around your neck as a scarf or your shoulders as a shawl. It’s extremely versatile! The wool we use is very soft and breathable and not itchy on your neck at all. Each piece has natural variations and light mottling effects that add texture and an organic feel.

This scarf is made with soft and breezy wool gauze and dyed using natural indigo to create a soft blue color. They are light weight and have lightly frayed raw edges. Each scarf is about 23" x 90" long when pressed flat.

100% Wool

The process

Plant dyes create deep and complex shades that seem to subtly change with the light. Although the same recipe is used for each batch, no two pieces will be identical in color. Each step in the process of crafting this piece is done intentionally by hand in our Detroit studio. The result is an organic color and lightly textured piece that adds romantic and delicate beauty to any outfit.

Shipping

We ship as plastic free and low waste as possible by using recycled paper padded mailers, and 100% recycled, 50% consumer waste made poly mailers when necessary.

Care instructions

All scarves are steamed and gently folded before sending to you. Wool gauze is naturally textured, so no need to press as that is part of the beauty of the fabric. Scarves can be hand washed using a pH neutral soap in tepid water. We recommend using Dr. Bronner's castile soap and hanging to dry.

We utilize sustainability conscious practices to limit water usage and fabric waste in our production. We work exclusively with plant dyes and natural fibers, both of which are compostable.
